Introduction
“SWOT YOUR RESTAURANT” is a competition for the Restaurant General Managers/Restaurant Managers of Sanjeev Kapoors -The Yellow Chilli (TYC) chain of Restaurant across India; where in the Managers are required to understand the business of their restaurants in terms of its S-Strength, W-Weaknesses, O-Opportunities and T-Threats with their competition/market.
The main objective behind this competition is to help Managers thoroughly understand the market conditions like competition having upper hand over TYC, focus on USP(Unique Selling Proposition) of TYC, what are the opportunities lying ahead for TYC and the areas of improvement. This kind of thorough research shall give the Managers 360 degrees perspective interms of strategizing the initiatives for efficient operation of restaurants further and there by directly impacting the bottom-line.
Methodology
Sample criteria’s to be covered in the report are given below in the box for the clarity of participants. Each criteria considered should be elaborated; for e.g. in WEAKNESS of the restaurant, if a Manager thinks staff turnover is high so the Manager shall also specify the possible reasons for the same and what are the initiatives/further actions happening/planned to solve the same shall be considered a good report. Information backed by Sources (medium of information collection) shall have an added advantage.
The report submitted shall be judged by Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor and team. The judgment shall be severe since it will involve thorough cross checking to check the reliability of market information or any other information provided, the judging team shall also put forward queries for matters that require clarity via phone/e-mails.
What is in for the Winner?
One best SWOT report shall be selected by Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor team and the winner shall get free return ticket to Mumbai and personally meet Master Chef Sanjeev Kapoor at Mumbai Office along with a certificate signed by MasterChef.
